Hello Sheila
I remember the station 'Warrenby Halt', which was a simple wooden platform with a brick shelter. The platform still exists at Newtondale Halt on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.

Station Master

The man on the right under the ring is Robert Pybus Stationmaster. I was supprised to see that the words above the windows read Warrenby Crossing and not Warrenby Halt.
Robert Pybus who was resident somewhere in Warrenby at the time of his marriage in 1903, gave his occupation as RAILWAY SIGNALMAN on the certificate

Photograph and information
courtesy of Roberts great grandson Maurice Nunn.

1896

A letter written by Robert Pybus
to his daughter Emily in 1896.
