Mr F.A. Stead gave his home to be used as a cottage hospital, for the benefit of the people of Redcar.

Stead garden parties were a lovely affair.Held in the grounds of the hospital, I accompanied my friend and neighbour Betty Lister on many occasions in the 1960s.I do hope we will be able to show a picture. Sheila
